Types of foam used in FDM mattresses

HR (high resilience foam) mattresses are made of a highly elastic material that adapts perfectly to the curves of the spine and limbs, providing maximum support in all pressure zones. Thermoplastic foam mattresses are ideal if the user has spinal problems. On the other hand, thermoelastic foam, when exposed to body heat, can adapt precisely to the figure and support all parts of the body during night rest. The material returns to its original shape as the temperature and pressure drop. This technology was developed for American astronauts whose seats in spacecraft were made using shape memory foam.
