DOES VISCOSE BREATHE? WHAT IS WORTH KNOWING ABOUT IT?

In the clothing industry, there are three main materials from which we buy clothes most often. Everyone knows these: cotton, polyester and viscose. Most of them do not appear pure, 100% in clothes (although sometimes they do), we can often find these materials with elastane additives. Thanks to the accessories, the clothes become elastic and adapt to the figure, making them more comfortable to wear. This article will focus on viscose, which is the third most popular fabric for clothing. If you are interested in the following questions: what is viscose made of, is viscose breathable, what is viscose and what kind of fiber is it, and is viscose suitable for summer, this article is just for you. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the properties of viscose.
WHAT IS VISCOSE AND HOW IS IT MADE?
If you are wondering what kind of fiber viscose is, the answer will not be completely unequivocal. Why? Because this material is classified as artificial fibers, but it is made from natural raw materials. Viscose is made from cellulose, especially wood pulp, which is usually obtained from pine or spruce. However, it is chemically processed many times and quite complexly, and for this reason viscose is considered a man-made fiber. However, this does not change the fact that because it is made of a natural material, it has many properties similar to natural fabrics such as cotton. Viscose is definitely closer to cotton than polyester and this is its big advantage. Wondering if viscose is breathable, the answer is yes! Viscose is breathable, making it ideal for summer. This material is used to make light summer clothes, such as women's dresses, slim shirts and t-shirts.
VISCOSE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
Viscose definitely has more advantages than disadvantages. It is very comfortable to use, mainly because it does not wrinkle, can be washed many times and does not require ironing. Viscose is a very durable material. Viscose blouses or dresses can last for several seasons and still look like new. In some men's in jackets and in men's pants can be very high in viscose, with impurities of up to fifty percent, so these clothes can be comfortable and perfect for hot days. In the summer, it's worth going for viscose, you won't sweat in it, as can happen in the case of breathable polyester.
DOES VISCOSE BREATHE?
You already know that viscose is perfect for summer, now it's time to find out why. Viscose is a plant-based material similar to linen, so it has similar properties. However, the advantage of viscose is that, unlike linen, its fibers are delicate and less stiff, so you can make more types of clothes from it. Soft viscose is also great for children's clothing as it is also resistant to dyeing and printing and can be found in almost every color and pattern imaginable.
HOW TO CARE FOR VISCOSE CLOTHING?
It is worth remembering that viscose should be taken care of quite gently, but not as gently as cotton. Let's say viscose is a fabric between cotton and polyester. Therefore, you should not store it at too high a temperature, but you do not need to be as careful when washing viscose as you do with natural fibers such as silk, cashmere or cotton. Viscose does not wrinkle as much as polyester, but if it needs to be ironed after washing, it should be ironed at a lower temperature. To avoid ironing it completely, it should be dried flat, hung or placed on a flat, clean surface.
